    Laparoscopic Surgery

Heritage Animal Hospital takes pride in providing advanced laparoscopic surgery. Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that uses small incisions and advanced endoscopic cameras to perform procedures.

Depending on your pet’s individual health needs, laparoscopic surgery can help reduce postoperative pain, improve recovery time, and lower the chance of surgical site complications. We provide the following types of veterinary laparoscopic surgery:

    • Ovariectomy/Spay – Patients must be greater than 30lbs
    • Laparoscopic Cryptorchid Neuters – neutering for dogs with testicles retained in the abdominal cavity
    • Laparoscopic Gastropexy – commonly performed in large breed dogs to prevent gastric dilatation volvulus (bloat)
    • Liver Biopsies – Visualization and biopsy of the liver

      Endoscopy Surgery

At Heritage Animal Hospital, we offer GI endoscopy services to diagnose and treat a variety of gastrointestinal issues in cats and dogs. Using minimally invasive techniques, our veterinarians can examine your pet’s digestive tract including the esophagus, stomach, and part of the small intestinal tract. This allows for accurate diagnosis of conditions such as ulcers, tumors, foreign bodies, or inflammatory diseases. With a focus on comfort and care, our endoscopic procedures require minimal recovery time. Whether your pet is experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, or other digestive concerns, our team is here to provide expert care and treatment options.

      Video Otoscopy (Ear)

Heritage Animal Hospital offers state-of-the-art video otoscopy services to thoroughly examine your pet’s ears and diagnose conditions such as infections, foreign bodies, or tumors as well as perform comprehensive ear flushes and cleanings. Using a high-definition video otoscope, we can visualize the ear canal and eardrum in real time, allowing for accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment. This non-invasive procedure is gentle and provides detailed imagery, helping us to effectively address ear-related issues and monitor treatment progress. Whether your pet is experiencing itching, discharge, or discomfort, our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care for their ear health.

The team at Heritage Animal Hospital will guide you through each step of your pet’s surgical procedure from admission to after care. All pets receive preoperative blood panels, preanesthetic testing, additional diagnostics as indicated, including radiography and ultrasound if necessary. We also carefully observe your pet’s vital signs throughout surgery and the recovery period, and we provide detailed instructions for at-home care.
