Camdyn
Camdyn joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2021 as one of our Kennel Assistants. She is currently a junior at Dundee High School. She has always been passionate about animals and has plans of working with them in the future. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, spending time with friends and family, as well as reading. Camdyn has a golden doodle named Louie and a Maltipoo named Hazel.
Chelsea
Chelsea joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2020 as one of our Outpatient Technicians. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology, but is currently taking prerequisite courses for veterinary school. In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys dog training, reading, and spending time with her husband and daughter. Chelsea has three dogs (Trail the Alaskan Husky/Labrador Retriever mix, Maple the Border Collie and Fig the Miniature American Shepherd), two cats (Mac and Cheese) and raises Shetland Sheep.
Theresa
Theresa joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2020 and is learning positions in various areas of the hospital. Theresa completed Stautzenberger College’s Licensed Veterinary Technician Program. Theresa’s favorite part about working at Heritage is learning new things everything and helping clients learn. Outside of work, Theresa enjoys spending time with her family and fishing. Theresa has two dachshunds named Toby and Scrappy and four cats named Avery, Lilith, Edward, and Squirrel.
Casidy
Casidy joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2020 as one of our Outpatient Technicians. She is currently in the process of getting her Licensed Veterinary Technician degree from Stautzenberger College. When Casidy is not working or in school she enjoys DIY projects, being outdoors, spending time with her pets and friends/family, and traveling. Casidy’s favorite part of working at Heritage is her co-workers and the hands-on experience she has gained while in school. Casidy has a cat named Cricket and a dog named Iris.
Madison
Maddy joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2020 as an Outpatient Technician. When Maddy is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and spending time on the lake. Maddy’s favorite part of working at Heritage is seeing how much our staff cares for our patients. Maddy enjoys our friendly staff and sweet patients. Maddy has two Pitbulls named Maverick and Vinny.
Cody
Cody joined Heritage Animal Hospital as one of our kennel assistants in 2019. Cody graduated high school and has future plans of becoming either a Veterinary Technician or a Veterinarian. In his spare time, Cody enjoys swimming, running cross country, cooking and baking, and playing video games. Cody has three cats, Dash, Boo and Bailey, a Labrador Retriever named Bo, and a French Bulldog named Cabby.
Courtney
Courtney joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2019. Courtney works in various areas of the hospital and enjoys that Heritage is like a second family to her. Courtney completed the Veterinary Technician program at Stautzenberger College. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family, riding her horse, and walking her dog. Courtney has a Corgi named Bailey a cat named Pumpkin.
Natalie
Natalie joined Heritage Animal Hospital as one of our hardworking kennel assistants in 2018. Natalie is currently in high school but has future plans of attending vet school. Natalie enjoys being behind the scenes at HAH and maintaining a successful animal hospital and working alongside the amazing staff. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys rock climbing, running track, kayaking, showing dogs at the fair, baking, and cooking. Natalie has a Golden Retrievers named Samantha and a Red Eared Slider Turtle named Houdini.
Jaime
Jaime joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2017. Jaime works as one of our veterinary technicians in surgery and has been working in the veterinary field since 2005. Jaime’s favorite part of working at HAH is the camaraderie and support amongst her co-workers. Jaime enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and two step-children, visiting her family from out of state, hunting, and fishing. Jaime has two French Bulldogs named Kenny and Archy.
Ashley
Ashley joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2017. Ashley works as one of our veterinary technicians in surgery. Ashley completed Stautzenberger College’s Veterinary Technician program. She enjoys the friendly work environment at HAH and seeing all the pets that come in. In her spare time enjoys spending time with her husband and children, camping, and taking her dogs to the park. Ashley has a Border Collie named Maddie, a Brittany Spaniel named Ruger, a German Shorthaired Pointer named Agoni, and a cat named Maude.
Brianna
Brianna joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2016. Brianna works as Receptionist, Outpatient Technician, Recovery Technician, and does the food inventory for the hospital. Brianna’s favorite part of her workday is getting to see the relationships between clients’ and their pets. Brianna graduated from Siena Heights University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. In her spare time, Brianna enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, listening to music, and photography. Brianna has a Boxer named Tyson.
Mallory
Mallory joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2015. Mallory primarily works as our patient care technician but you can find her around various other parts of the hospital as well. Mallory’s favorite part of working at HAH is her co-workers and having the opportunity to learn something new every day. Mallory enjoys spending time with her fiance and pets, cooking, and hanging out with friends. Mallory has three dogs (Colt the Great Dane, Benelli the Labrador Retriever, and Carter the Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese mix), a rescued cat named Sophia, and various chickens.
Olivia
Olivia joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2012 as a kennel assistant and now works in various areas of the hospital. Prior to becoming employed at Heritage Animal Hospital, Olivia spent time volunteering at the clinic as a high school student. Olivia currently attends Bowling Green University and is studying Conservation Biology. As a working college student, Olivia does not have much spare time, but when she does you can find her enjoying time with family and friends, being outdoors, bird watching, hiking, and camping. Olivia has a Labrador Retriever named Charlie and a cat named Rozzie.
Olivia
Olivia joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2020 as one of our Outpatient Technicians. Olivia went to Grand Valley State University where she received a Bachelors’s Degree in Biology and a minor in Environmental Science. She graduated from Stautzenberger College with a Veterinary Technician degree. Olivia has always had a passion for animals and expressed that through volunteering and grooming. In her free time, she loves to travel, volunteer, spend time with family, friends & boyfriend. Olivia has two rescued animals, a Newfoundland named Rosie and a cat named Rufus.
Dr. Amanda Chrzanowski Bolyard
Dr. Amanda grew up in Shepherd, MI and attended Central Michigan University for her undergraduate studies. She graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and shortly after started her veterinary career at Heritage Animal Hospital. Dr. Amanda credits her early experiences that began with 4-H and AKC performance events with inspiring her to become a veterinarian. She has a passion for working with responsible breeders to help preserve and improve their respective breeds through the use of health screenings, such as OFA and PennHIP. Professionally, Dr. Amanda is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, AAFP as well as the Society for Theriogenology. Dr. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her two children in their various activities and spending time with their family pets that include bulldogs, chihuahuas, cats, guinea pigs and a ball python.
Dr. Amber Waun Smith
Dr. Amber grew up in Clio, MI and attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate and graduate studies. She graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013, after which time she joined Heritage Animal Hospital. Her professional interests include digital imaging and ultrasound, surgery, dentistry, and therapeutic laser treatment. Dr. Amber is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, American Veterinary Dental Society, and the Veterinary Ultrasound Society. She has always been passionate about brachycephalic breeds and is hoping to spend more focus on treatment for problems common in the breeds as she continues her career in addition to orthopedic surgery, dentistry procedures, ultrasonography, and surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan, and with family and friends. Dr. Amber has a Puggle named Emmett, a French Bulldog named Phinn, a Bulldog named Gus and two cats (Wesson and Houdini), as well as a variety of laying hens. She also enjoys painting/crafting, exercising, traveling and being outdoors.
Dr. Christine Jennings Abbinante
Dr. Christine grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate studies. She graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, after which time she also joined Heritage Animal Hospital. Dr. Christine has a special interest in acupuncture, emergency medicine and ultrasound. She has traveled to Honduras to perform free spay and neuters for local villages and to England to work with an organization that rescues abused and neglected horses. Dr. Christine is a member of the AVMA and MVMA. Outside of work, Dr. Christine enjoys hiking, riding her bike, spending time with her husband, Luke, and visiting her family in Chicago. Dr. Christine has two dogs, Mila (Pitbull) and Mia (Chihuahua), and three cats named Benjamin, Luna and Franklin.
Dr. Meghan Tanner
Dr. Meghan (Swinkey) Tanner was born and raised in Monroe, MI. She is a graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in General Zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from MSU. Dr. Meghan’s professional interests include dentistry and general medicine and surgery. She is a member of the AVMA and MVMA. She enjoys volunteering in the community and is a board member of the Monroe Rotary Club. Dr. Meghan enjoys spending time with her family- her husband, two daughters, and one cat, Kiki. In her spare time, she enjoys movies, cooking, reading, and watching MSU sports.
Dr. Shayne Wireman
Dr. Shayne first joined our team as an assistant while he was a pre-vet student and athlete (wrestling) at Eastern Michigan University. After his time at EMU, he attended and completed veterinary school at Michigan State University. Dr. Shayne has many interests, but most enjoys canine reproduction, laparoscopic surgery and dermatology. He was selected by the faculty at MSU to receive the American College of Veterinary Radiology award and is also certified to take PennHIP radiographs. Dr. Shayne has worked with Dr. Amanda on OFA and PennHIP radiographs and enjoys working closely with breeding clients. In his spare time, Dr. Shayne enjoys running, coaching wrestling, and spending time with his dogs (Benson-French Bulldog, Brooks-Australian Shepherd, Marti-Boxer).
Dr. DJ Morin
Dr. DJ grew up in Dearborn Heights and attended Wayne State University and University of Michigan-Dearborn for his undergraduate studies. He graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021 and joined Heritage Animal Hospital in August 2021. Dr. DJ has many interests including general medicine and surgery, dentistry, ultrasound and imaging. He also holds a special place for the equine world and equine medicine. He is a member of the AVMA and MVMA. Outside of work, Dr. DJ enjoy many hobbies such as riding (horseback and bike), fishing, sporting clays, running, playing hockey, and homebrewing. He is also a dedicated volunteer at Therapeutic Riding, Inc. in Ann Arbor. He loves spending time with family and friends as well as his three dogs, Wiley, Hank and Zeke, and cat named Ralphie.
Dr. Katie Morrison
Dr. Katie grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and attended Virgina Tech for her undergraduate studies. She attended vet school at Ross University and completed her clinical studies at Colorado State Univeristy. Dr. Katie’s special interests in veterinary medicine are soft tissue surgery, dermatology and dentistry. Dr. Katie is a member of AVMA and MVMA. Outside of work Dr. Katie enjoys spending time with her fiance, reading, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Katie has a Plott Hound mix (Nellie), two cats (Burnadette and Francine), and a pet snail.
Dr. Brooke Baima
Dr. Brooke grew up in Laporte, IN. She attended Anderson University for her undergraduate studies. She graduated from Purdue University with her Veterinary Degree in 2022 and joined Heritage Animal Hospital in June 2022. Dr. Brooke credits her love for animals that began with 4-H where she showed cattle and pigs for 10 years. Dr. Brooke has many interests including general medicine, reproduction, and neurology. She is a member of AVMA. Outside of work, Dr. Brooke enjoys many hobbies such as camping, kayaking, cooking and true crime podcasts. Dr Brooke also enjoys spending time with her two Husky mixes, Kai and Arlo.
Shan
Shan is the Practice Manager here at Heritage Animal Hospital. Shan joined the practice in 2006 when Dr. Earl and his wife opened the doors to the practice. Shan is known as the “feline whisperer” around the practice. In her spare time, Shan runs a cat sanctuary, enjoys gardening, and helps run her family’s business.
Rachel
Rachel joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2015. Rachel has been working with dogs for 22 years. She has done everything from grooming, veterinary medicine, training, boarding, and rescue work. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys volunteering her time with a dog rescue group. Rachel has six dogs, two cats, and typically an extra foster dog or two.
Katie
Katie graduated from Stautzenberger College as a licensed technician. She followed Dr. Earl from Temperance Animal Hospital and eventually joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2011. Katie primarily works and maintains our in house laboratory. Katie enjoys talking with clients and working in the lab. When Katie is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, camping, four-wheeling, and hiking. Katie has four dogs (Tank, Henry, Izzy, and Mango), a cat named Miramax, and multiple chickens.
Erika
Erika joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2016 after completing her externship with us. Erika graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Spring Arbor University then went on to get her LVT at Stautzenberger College. Erika’s favorite part of working at HAH is the family-like atmosphere and assisting in surgery and lab. Erika enjoys spending time with her husband, Allan, friends and family, exploring downtown Ann Arbor, watching movies, and reading. Erika has an adopted Boxer named Relli.
Sarah
Sarah graduated from Macomb Community College as a licensed veterinary technician in 2004. She worked at a clinic that specialized in exotics for 10 years before taking some time off for her family. She then joined the Heritage family in 2018. She works in various areas of the hospital including the lab, surgery and as an Outpatient Technician. Sarah’s favorite part of working at HAH is the caring environment for our patients, clients, and each other. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, pets, cooking, and working out. Sarah has two cats (Koda and Pandora) and two dogs (a mixed breed named Gus and a Labrador Retriever named Ari).
Sydnie
Sydnie joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2018. Sydnie works in various areas of the hospital and enjoys working alongside her co-workers. Sydnie completed the Veterinary Technician program at Stautzenberger College. In her spare time, Sydnie enjoys being outdoors, hanging with friends, hiking, baking, and watching movies. Sydnie has a Dalmatian named Carlos and a cat named Pantera.
Cassidy
Cassidy joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2016. Cassidy graduated from Stautzenberger College as a licensed veterinary technician. You can find Cassidy in various areas of the hospital including outpatient, lab, and surgery. Cassidy’s favorite part of working at HAH is the family atmosphere. In her spare time, Cassidy enjoys visiting Disney World and spending time with friends and family. Cassidy has two small mixed breed dogs named Chewy and Minnie and two cats named Rajah and Vader.
Amanda
Amanda joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2018 as one of our Outpatient Technicians. Amanda also works as a Recovery Assistant. Her favorite part of working at HAH is educating clients on pet care and seeing all the puppies. Amanda graduated from Stautzenberger College as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and their son, watching baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers, and going to concerts. Amanda has three Labrador Retrievers named Hank, Mater and Preacher, a Labradoodle named Buckley, a Pudelpointer named Yooper and multiple chickens.
